Yaoi-Con Guest of Honor Cancellation

Regretfully, Yaoi-Con must announce that our Guest of Honor, Minami Haruka, will be unable to attend this year’s convention due to health concerns. Minami-sensei was really looking forward to coming to Yaoi-Con to meet her fans and sends her heartfelt apologies that she cannot make the convention.

Since Minami-sensei will not be with us, we’d like to send a little bit of Yaoi-Con to her. So during the time allotted for her Q&A session (Saturday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Convene 1) we will give you an opportunity to leave messages in a sketchbook that we’ll send to Minami-sensei after the con. Gifts for Minami-sensei will be accepted as well -- only small, non-perishable items, please.

During this time we will also be holding a raffle for some lovely “papers” (prints) that Minami-sensei will be sending us. Winners will be contacted after the convention regarding mailing info and shipping costs.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the short notice on such major news. We hope that everyone who comes to Yaoi-Con will enjoy our other guests, shopping and activities. We also wish Minami-sensei good health and hope to see her at a future Yaoi-Con!
